2009 Recipients
We were delighted to see so many undergraduates
express interest in pursuing original writing projects. After reviewing
all of the proposals, we are pleased to announce this year’s recipients
of Tory Dent Research Scholarship funds:
Greg Solano will be awarded $650 to attend Semana Santa (Holy Week) in Seville, Spain, and produce original poetry and a short story about his time there.
Patrick Blagrave will be awarded $600 towards summer work release and/or the purchase of books to explore “the connection between the science of physics and the art of poetry” and produce an original manuscript.
Congratulations to Greg and Patrick!
