A poet and critic, John Yau is the author of Ing Grish, Paradiso Diaspora and The Passionate Spectator: Essays on Art and Poetry.
Rudolph Delson is the author of Maynard & Jennica, which is his debut novel, and lives in Brooklyn.
A literary translator and fiction writer, Eduardo Jiménez Mayo has written The Gospel According to Juan de Mairena. He was also a contributor to the acclaimed anthology of Mexican short stories, Mexico: A Traveler’s Literary Companion.

It is said, the past
sticks to the present

like glue,
that we are flies

struggling to pull free
It is said, someone

cannot change
the clothes

in which
their soul

was born.
I, however,

would not
go so far

Nor am I Rembrandt,
master of the black

and green darkness,
the hawk's plumes

as it shrieks
down from the sky
