Periodically Speaking: Literary-Magazine Editors Introduce Emerging Writers at The New York Public LibraryThe Council of Literary Magazines and Presses (CLMP) and The New York Public Library present Periodically Speaking, a reading series providing a major venue for emerging writers to present their work while emphasizing the diversity of America's literary magazines and the magazine collections of The New York Public Library. Each event presents writers from three influential literary magazines—one poet, one fiction writer, one nonfiction writer—introduced by their editors.
Elisa Gabbert's recent poems appear or are forthcoming in Colorado Review, Diagram, Eleven Eleven, jubilat, Pleiades, and other journals. She is the author of the chapbook Thanks for Sending the Engine (Kitchen Press), as well as two collaborative works, co-written with Kathleen Rooney: Something Really Wonderful (dancing girl press, 2007) and That Tiny Insane Voluptuousness (Otoliths Books, 2008).
