Jesse Ball was the recipient of The Paris Review's 2008 Plimpton Prize. He has published one book of poetry, March Book (2004), as well as a book of short prose, Vera & Linus (2006) and a book of drawings Og svo kom nottin (2006). His first novel, Samedi the Deafness (2007), was a finalist for the Believer Book Award. His second novel, The Way Through Doors, will be published by Vintage Books in 2009. His poem “Speech in a Chamber,” from the fall 2005 issue of The Paris Review, was included in Best American Poetry 2006. His story “The Early Deaths of Lubeck, Brennan, Harp, and Carr” appeared in the winter 2007 issue of The Paris Review, and “Archon LLC” appeared in the fall 2008 issue. He is currently a Visiting Artist at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. |

Kimiko Hahn’s seven collections of poetry include The Unbearable Heart, Earshot, and The Narrow Road to the Interior. She wrote the screenplay for Everywhere At Once, which was shown at the Cannes and Tribeca film festivals. Recent honors include the Shelley Memorial Prize and PEN/Voelcker Award. Her poem “On Being Coy” appeared in the fall 2008 issue of The Paris Review. She is currently a professor at Queens College and a visiting faculty member at NYU. |
