For 35 years Nancy Crampton has been a photographer of literary artists; her work has appeared on hundreds of book jackets. For the past 20 years she has been the official photographer of the 92nd Street Y Unterberg Poetry Center. Recently she collected her favorite portraits in a book, WRITERS: Photographs by Nancy Crampton. The Lillian Vernon Writers House has acquired a collection of many of the portraits, which are on permanent display. Crampton will share the highlights of her encounters with famous writers; a book-signing will follow. |
