Susan Minot is the author of the novels Monkeys which won the Prix Femina Etranger in France in 1987 Folly, Evening, Rapture, a story collection Lust & Other Stories and a book of poetry, Poems 4 A.M. She wrote the screenplay for Bernardo Bertolucci’s “Stealing Beauty”(1996) and co-authored the screenplay of “Evening” (2007) with Michael Cunningham. Her non-fiction has appeared in McSweeney's, the New York Times, the Paris Review and Vogue, among others. She has been included in the anthologies The Best American Travel Writing 2001, The Pen/O. Henry Prize Stories 2011, and The Best American Short Stories 1984 and 1985. A new story, “Thirty Girls,” is scheduled for the winter 2012 issue of Granta. She divides her time between New York City and North Haven, an island in Maine.
