Eamon Grennan is the author of several volumes of poetry including Wildly for Days, What Light There Is, As if it Matters, and Relations: New and Selected Poems.  His latest collection is Matter of Fact.  His Leopardi: Selected Poems won the PEN Award for Poetry in Translation, and he has published a collection of critical essays, Facing the Music: Irish Poetry in the Twentieth Century.  He is the recipient of awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Guggenheim Foundation. He is originally from Dublin and presently teaches at Vassar College.
